We have received quite a few requests from you for Joomla templates. In response to those requests we have released our first 2 Joomla templates, a security company template and a construction company template. We also released a Flash XML template for a restaurants.

Joomla is a popular content management system. These templates are edited online using the administration panel. We have posted a tutorial for installing Joomla.

Easy XML Template Tutorial – Type 1

Our XML templates make it easy for anyone to get a Flash site up. These templates do not require Flash software. Experience with HTML is helpful but not necessary. If you don’t have experience with HTML you will want to refer to

For this example I am using http://flash-template-design.com/preview.php?tid=1832 . After you have downloaded the website template you will need Winrar to open the file (http://www.rarlab.com/) . The evaluation version will be sufficient.

Editing the text

Use Winrar to open and extract the website template to a folder. Open the folder and navigate to the folder “swf-html”. This folder contains the files that control the way your template appears. Each section of the template will have its own folder and inside that folder is a text document that you will edit.

As an example:

Inside the contact-txt folder the contact.txt file controls the contact page

After you have edited the highlighted areas you should save the text file. Go through each folder and customize each of the folders (home-text, team-txt, and work-txt).

Setting up the contact form

Setting up the contact form is done using the form.txt .

The highlighted section of this text should be updated to your information. This controls where the contact form will send the emails from your site.

Editing the images on the website template

Areas of the website template have images that you will want to replace for instance:

The images for this portion of the website template are located in the swf-html\images folder. Place your replacement images in the folder and edit the text file located in swf-html\team-txt

Editing the website template music:

The number of tracks that are played throughout the website template are controlled by the total_tracks.txt .

You can increase this to as many tracks as you want to play while a visitor is on the site or put 0 to remove the music all together. Place the music in the folder swf-html\music . Rename the music to mp3-0 increasing the last digit for each track you add.

After making the changes to the template you will use FTP or you hosting company’s control panel to upload the files to your hosting account.
